Miss
Nanikutty, a life member of TNAI, started her nursing
career after her certificate course in nursing at
Chennai in 1950. She underwent one-year Diploma in
Nursing in Teaching (D.N. Teaching) at Chennai and
served as Nursing Tutor in different schools of Nursing.
She completed P.C.B.Sc., Nursing at the College of
Nursing, Madras Medical College, Chennai in 1970.
After
her graduation she served as a teacher in different
schools/colleges of Nursing in Tamil Nadu. Finally
she worked as a part time Lecturer at the College
of Nursing, Coimbatore Medical College with Community
Health Nursing as specialty . She was a disciplinarian
but friendly with her colleagues and students. She
passed away on 17 January 2008 after a brief period
of illness. May her soul rest in peace.
