Greetings from Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI) Hqrs
We all are delighted that TNAI has celebrated 100 glorious years in 2008.
At this juncture, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all the visionary nurse leaders who laid the foundation
of the Trained Nurses Association of India. It has since evolved as professional national body of nurse
practitioners, with worldwide reputation, furthering the interests of nurses and community at large. Ever since
Association’s inception you all have nourished, nurtured and nursed every aspect of the Association’s growth
and development. We appreciate your deep sense of commitment and cooperation towards the Association.
We strongly feel that there is immense scope to further enhance the membership base. In this respect, we
avidly look forward to your whole-hearted support because you are the key person to motivate the nurses who
are working in your esteemed institution/hospital. Larger membership tends to strengthen an organisation in
many ways. We, therefore, request you to kindly extend your support for enrolling the TNAI life members.
There are several areas in our life when we have to pay serious thought to rendering a selfless service for
the good of mankind. The sense of fulfillment and meaningfulness it provides is tremendous. The membership
campaign gives an opportunity to all concerned to contribute to a noble cause. We, nurses need to be
proud that we are associated with the professional Association. Here we enumerate some of the benefits
accruing to Life Members: Opportunity to participate in TNAI/ SNA National Conference, continuing education
programmes and other programmes at national and international level. Eligibility for TNAI and SNA Scholarships,
25% rail concession, 10% discount on TNAI publications, availability of guest room facility at TNAI Hqrs
at reasonable charges, Nurse’s welfare grant for the needy members. Annual grant to state branches of TNAI.
The Nursing Journal of India (monthly magazine) supplied to the members. Forum to address the issues and
grievances to the concerned authorities. And above all a sense of belongingness to the Professional Body.
TNAI has revised the incentive criteria for enrolling Life Members (see last inside cover of this issue). We
look forward for your participation in enrolling members for the Association.

Criteria for Awarding Incentives to TNAI members enrolling Life Members
Approved by the House of Delegates / Council, TNAI, 2005

Members enrolling 10 or more Life Members in a
year would continue to get letters of commendation
by the President, TNAI. |
