Miss Mary Huang
left for her heavenly abode on March 1, 2008.
She was 39. After completing her GNM training
from Rapsbun School of Nursing, Shillong, she
continued to work in Nazareth Hospital, Shillong.
She was promoted to the post
of Sister-in-Charge of Pediatric Ward.
She was an intelligent, dynamic person contributing
her talents and creativity to the nursing service
as well as to |
other
extra activities of the hospital.
She was an active member of TNAI. She was an efficient
ward incharge giving her best in leadership and
responsibilities.
She was called for her eternal reward quite suddenly
and unexpectedly with a massive heart attack.

Mrs. Shanti Lata Santram
left for her heavenly home on February 15, 2008.

She had been having diabetes and heart related
problems for over the past ten years, and had
undergone a bypass operation last year. On February
15 evening, she developed breathing problems
and within an hour was called to her heavenly
home.
Mrs. Shanti Lata was born in Chaibasa (now
in Jharkhand State). After school education
in Ranchi, she joined Isabella Thoburn College,
Lucknow and thereafter acquired a B.Sc. (Hon.)
degree in Nursing from Delhi University. She
worked as Sister-Tutor at Christian Medical
College, Ludhiana.
She married Pritam B. Santram (a Priest) in
1962. They have had three children, Vandana,
Vivek and Abhishikt. She was a soft spoken and
amiable personality which endeared her to all
who came in contact with her.
