A Century of Dedication, Commitment

JANUARY 1, has become a day of celebration, wishing all the best to each others. It also stimulates everyone to forget and forgive and to take a new start. But this year is exception for WE, THE NURSES in India. It is not an usual day. It is a historical day. The Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) is completing a century of its functioning for the nursing profession and the people of our beloved country. An individual or an organization with vision, dedication and commitment has potential to change the society or even a world. Pages of history books are full of such examples, one of them is TNAI. A few nurses established TNAI in 1908, and there is a long chain of dedicated nurse-leaders who followed the footsteps. The first step taken with determination gives you all strength to forward journey. Today we have crossed 100th year.

Much has been said and written about this journey. A list of achievements is a matter of pride. Today nursing profession is shining with its glory. Nurses in India have created a unique position on the world scenario. Let us agree and accept that TNAI is the mother of the nursing profession in India. We are jubilant. Celebrating this landmark through various activities throughout the country. Launching function will be on 22nd January and the torch of joy, happiness along with commitments and dedication for another century will be taken to nook and corner of our profession.
